DO NOT CLOSE SESSION/PART I.
It is 2015 and I am done with the conventional way of designing a fashion collection. There is so much more to my vision – which is firmly set in that peculiar place, where fashion, photography, fine art, film and other media overlap. «Do not close session» is an attempt to inverse the creative process that, normally, leads linearly from the designer to the viewer.
The collection is not finished – and it starts with photography, rather than with finished dresses. The impression, the visual story, the atmosphere, the illustration, the design and the thus evoked «feel» – all this is, at the moment, much more important than the actual clothes.
I will present several photographic series, before I decide to complete the collection. At this moment, I do not know how many. There is no plan. It is, for me, the purest form of intuitive work I have undertook so far. The collection, the process, will happen – all that remains for me, is to follow. Thankfully, various models and photographers have agreed to follow this path with me.
The final part will be the finished clothes – when the fruit of this creative journey have ripened, the finished clothes will be presented in a conventional manner.
